Help!
Do you know anyone at Graphtech?

The last piece of the puzzle to complete my TOC1/Aviation Models 30% Yak 54 is the upgrade of my flimsy landing gear to carbon fiber.

I ordered the gear 5 weeks ago. I've sent 4 emails for updates and questions and have not received a response. I read old threads that suggested to dispute the charge with Paypal due to empty promises and unfulfilled orders but also read that they had new ownership and were back on track. Anyone have recent dealings with this company?

Thanks for the response. I'm just concerned and confused why a company would not at least respond to an email with an update. Especially since you have to pay up front. Getting nervous.

Hind sight is 20/20. I'm trying to figure out if they will actually fill the order as I've already paid for it. The only reason I ordered from them to begin with is they had the mold for the actual gear for this model which I've been storing for 13 years and finally decided to build.

Give them a call. I recently had custom gear made and they were great to work with. About a 1 1/2 month wait.

Glad to hear from a couple people that did actually get their gear. I will call them on Monday. Its just incredibly frustrating that the customer service is so poor. We all make dozens or a hundred different purchases when building a giant scale plane and every company I've dealt with has been great. This Graphtech experience has been sketchy. Thanks to all that contributed.

I ordered some gear for an Aeroworks Ultimate, it took about two months to get a response. Unfortunately the response was they screwed them up and had to do them again. Another month and a half I finally got the gear, unfortunately they were not up to any modern ARF's standard, or correct for the airframe, much less worth the added cost of special made gear. I have not used the gear and probably won't. I did manage to get the proper gear by another means. Best of luck in your endeavors with Graphtech.

When did this happen? It was my understanding that graphtech is under different ownership now from when all the bad experiences occurred. I believe it is now owned by CST composites. I had ordered a spinner from the old graphtech, and it took some persistence to get them to send it.

Just a few months ago, the emails carried both Graphtech and CST logos.
