Well..you know how it goes.. changed my mind and collecting Taylorcraft craft parts for the jtec build.
Can't seem to find wing struts available...any one have an extra set..or any ideas?

Also, would like to see details of the bottom of the planes .. canister exit details.

And pictures of battery / ignition box / receiver mounting.

Thanks for any help.

If you look at post # 1113 you can see the wing struts I made for mine . I wanted to use the AeroWorks ones but you know where that went. The Hanger 9 ones I thought were a bit Mickey Mouse , so I made my own.
Hope this helps

Mike, I use front dump (only because I had a set) but I could just as easy use rear dump cans. as far as the receiver and such, there is a ton of dance floor to mount just about anything you want.

Hi Mike, If you look on page 54, post 807 of this thread, it shows how we mounted the canisters. I loaned out my drawings of the exhaust, haven't received them back.

Thanks Van and Ron..you two and so many other Taylorcraft faithful have answered many questions for me.

It's taking me quite a while to save and purchase the items needed. I ask a lot of questions to determine the best outcome for my build...I truly want to thank everyone for their time and help.

Had to post...

A site member saw where i was collecting parts and contacted me....
He told me to give him my address and he would send me some extra wheel pants he didnt use on his Taylorcraft build,,,NO CHARGE.

A few days latter they are here !

That was very thoughtful and very appreciated !
This hobby is alive and well because of such people.

Thanks Dave.

Installed the main gear stiffeners as per Dennis. Used 3/16" wire and slightly shortened the amount of travel.

Hope to flight test next weekend.

Hi Mike,

I have 1" servo arms on the tail surfaces and 1.5" servo arms for the ailerons. The reason for the longer arms for the ailerons is the hinge line is at the top of the wing.

The control horns are from Hobby King used on all surfaces.

The carbon push rods with titanium ends for the tail are from Central Hobbies and titanium rods for ailerons are Hanger 9. Ball links are also Hanger 9.
