Need another Bipe!

Backordered!
2 large bipes for the winter build (Waco and 120cc Viking) I think that's enough!

4 aileron servos?

Will eliminating the rods and using 4 aileron servos be an option?

Re 4 servos

Until they release more details we won't know if 4 servos is an option. It probably can be done but I don't see the need on a slow flying bipe like the Waco and 2 servos with push rods is scale.

I have a 1/5 Pica Waco that I built in the 90s. It had a Zenoah G38, ( its retired now)and it had 2 servos on the ailerons with pushrods to the top wing. I flew it for years and it performed quite well. With this 1/4 scale Waco I'll use more powerful servos, maybe Hitec 7954s. I'll see what the setup looks like when I get it but I think the stock set up will be fine.

Just dreaming a little, but is there a radial that will fit in this plane? Wouldn't that be sweet?

I'm hoping my Mokie 150 will fit this model. Can Mr Gunn give us a cowl diameter?

C/A hinges will work fine if they are a high quality hinge. I have several 55cc powered big birds that are many years old and the C/A hinges have held up fine. The brand I use is Radio South "1/4 scale Pro Hinges." They are MUCH better and I would recommend their use with a plane this size.

I read reviews on other Phoenix models that stated the quality was very good.

I just ordered an APS fuel pump for my Moki. The 150 (now 180) is 10" diameter. Somebody scaled the cowl at 10.5 ". This radial requires frequent oiling and adjustment. I'm thinking why hide it in a cowl and make maintenance hard?
