I'm really surprised this airframe isn't more popular. The AJ Laser seems so popular but I never hear much about the Slick, and I've yet to see one in person.

Because like everything else at tgis time the trend is Laser so everyone thinks they need one! Lol. I watched a AJ Slick out fly a AJ laser at a IMAC a week ago. The Laser actually seemed less stable during the windy part of the day then the Slick. Strange?! Anyway.....

My Slick has DA 120 with 3086cans, pull/pull, small batts beside tank and powerbox behind tank. I have added 1oz to the tailwheel to get it to what I like. Hope this helps.

I've owned a Laser, loved it. However I do prefer the Slick for my flying. It's simply another awesome aircraft.

For those that have flown this plane, what is your AUW without fuel?

Got mine for Christmas. On her feet and getting the last few items needed to finish.
I can't find one flaw in it. Covering is perfect

I am more and more impressed with mine each time I get a few minutes to work on it. Everything is just falling into place.
I talked to Tim and I have to say that he is a great guy !!!!!
Seemed nice to be able to just visit with him and get my questions answered without feeling like I was bugging him or wasting his time
