I was about to say the same. I guess maybe people are focused on Christmas?? I have flown this airplane personally and I am here to tell you that it is awesome. Nimble like a 60" but stable like a 104. I only have one flight under my belt so I would need a few more to really give an knowledgeable assessment. This airplane is very impressive in person and the quality of the arf is second to none. The Laser is a solid platform for all aspects of the flight envelope and a great alternative to those who want something different from an Extra or Slick. Extreme Flight has really raised the bar with these new line of ARFs. I expect to see many great airframes in the near future.

There are a couple guys that got them going before Xmas and have made posts on Facebook. Both reports are very favorable and more are on the way to the US. I have had mine since this summer and it is my favorite 120cc plane.

I received my new EF 104” Laser today. Wow that bird is really nice. I could not find a single wrinkle anywhere. I can’t wait to get to the building of it. It will feel right at home with my other EF Lasers, 48”, 60”, 74” and 91”. All in red.

Impressive video! At first I didn't think these look much like Leo's Lazer which I saw fly in an airshow by the Arch in St. Louis back in the 80's. I even have an autographed picture from Leo somewhere in my old stuff.
After looking at the pictures from the Air and Space Museum, it appears that the EF canopy was modeled after that version rather than the version I remember seeing back in the 80's. The updated canopy looks much sleeker. I'd still say the cowl doesn't capture the look of Leo's Lazer but it still looks pretty good and overall the plane looks cool. It's always nice to see something a little different than the typical Extras, Edges and Slicks. I doubt a more scale like cowl would adversely affect the flight characteristics so maybe with some feedback from customers they'll change the cowl down the road. If not, I wouldn't hesitate to pick one of these up anyway. |
