Sempher Fi... Bill.... I will check out Bel Ray also. Probably have to get it on line. Never heard of it or seen it in Arkansas. I have 4 DLEs, 2 3Ws and one MTengine . Amsoil is the oil used at our club. About 13 bucks a quart.

Amsoil is not really designed or, better said, there is proof that Amsoil is not as good as Red Line or Stihl HP Ultra for our aircooled RC 2 strokers. Make your life simple. Don't ask anymore questions about what oil to use. You have 3 choices and, I gave you my choice. Red Line, Sthil or Bel-Ray. Leave it at that. There will be guys that swear on Amsoil, don't worry...remember, those are the same guys that fly Spektrum...

Because Pryor my main man, certain people cannot answer a simple question without turning it into a shitefite, I am quite certain quite of few of you in here would answer the following questions like this:

What is 1 + 1: A123 batteries
What is the capital of Texas: DA engines
What time is it: Stihl Ultra HP

Why cant you just answer his question first then perhaps add your opinion, and I stress that it is only your opinion, is it just due to arrogance and pestolence, I dont know. I have not seen any factual test data to prove the wild opinions in here. 2ndly why do you people jump all over a Newbie for asking a silly question, these questions were perhaps the same questions you asked when you were a newb.

My motherfooking 2c.

Oh and Redline oil is what I would use out of those 2 oils!!!

Since you have Futaba you are a smart man indeed!!
Oils to use:
Redline Racing at 40:1
Stihl HP Ultra at 50:1

and thats all you need to know about those items.

AMsoil...do you really trust an oil that is MLM marketed?

Okay; a big IMAC pilot here in SC changed from Amsoil to Redline mixed at 40:1 last year because he was told the Amsoil story.... his DA has now seized for the second time. I know, it could be anything....

I run 80:1 Amsoil in all my gas engines (DA, DLE, Zenoah) and they have never missed a beat (five years now). Over the past year I have run some Lucas fuel treatment in my 5 gallon fueling can. Why, because an engine guru at the Nall told me to clean it up with Lucas.

IMHO this is blown way out of line.

Incoming.........!!!!

Yes, it could be any of a bunch of things, but, if he did not retune, after going from Amsoil at 100:1 to Red Line at 40:1, then the new mixture was lean ! I am hoping that he richened his needles after making the change.
