Interesting how the mounting lugs are counter sunk. The 70 twin market must be a tuff market to break into sense they haven't come out with one.At lease they are improving on what they sell.

I'm definitely with ya on the 70cc.
They have the 35cc...so why not a 70cc twin.

Probably because most twins are based on an existing side exhaust cylinder and the DLE35 is rear exhaust. They don't have an existing cylinder that could interchange between a twin and a single cylinder engine. Of course some times the twin hits the market first then the single follows.

It is good to see DLE come out with some new engines. Before the 130 came out they hadn't had anything new for the RC market in years.

I don't think I care for the countersunk lugs. That seems like removing metal in an area where they need all the strength they can get. Just no purpose for that.

Not surprised since they have the new DLE130 witch has a totally new redesigned cylinder head. I have the 130 and it makes amazing power so the 65 should make 70's power with less weight!

Since the DLE 130 came out a few months ago, it would be natural to expect ... a 65cc .. or half the 130cc.

Ahhh...that's a good point...I knew the 35 was a rear Exaust but had let it slip my mind. I do wish they'd make a 70 twin tho. ...with some of the cheaper ones having a shoving match has caused me to wait. Dle does not have the power like DA or GP but they are reliable for the most part and replacement parts are available and at a good price.

Looks like the mounting lugs might be a little thicker than most 60's,due to the counter sinking of bolt head pocket.Don't know why you would do this other than looks. Being a 65 it should have a little more power than the rest of the 60's.I'm interested in this one.

I was thinking along thoes lines on power. The 61cc has less power than say the DA 60.....do you think the 65 might be on par with the DA 60 ??

It should be as good if not better than the DA60 in terms of hp. Smoothness and clean midrange go a long way with me also.

Totally agree on the smoothness being something I like..
I just hope they don't go overboard on price...if they get within $100 of the DA...I'd probably skip it because of DA quality. The 61 sells for $449 at most places and thru tower you can get it a bit cheaper. My guess is the 65 will be $499. What is your guess ?
