When I buy anything from HK, be it lipos, foamy servos, ESCs, Brushless motors, or whatever, I'm fully prepared to eat the cost of something arriving DOA. I have no plans of trying to send it back. Not worth my time and effort. However, I have probably 25 packs ranging from 2s 500 to 4s 3000, a box full of 5 and 9 gram servos, a few motors and ESCs, and have never had a bad one.

I really don't know exactly which of the many things I did that worked. Nothing I did brought that one cell up. I just put aside for several weeks and tried just once more before discarding it and it charged to 16.8 with no problem and has been through several charges since then. It works exactly like the one that never had a problem. Same flight time, recharge time and performance as far as I can see. I’ll just figure it was my birthday and let it go at that. I have absolutely no clue was going on with the battery.

No way would I charge HK lipo batteries in my house in any condition.

And yes FMA chargers are great (e.g. Cell Pro) as mention below. But don't think a great charger will make a quality product out of a HK lipo.

I would be quite willing to charge my HK lipos at your house!!!

I understand what you are saying. As many people have said you just can't beat the price and failures occur in any of them. HK's warranty sucks for sure. When I fly or go to the lake 90% of the batteries come from HK. Personal preference I guess. I'm in a small town in TN. so whatever I get is shipped in.
