At6 class 100mph what RPM ?

Hello ,

Looking at the AT6 class data , A ZG62 with a 20x15 should run about 7200 rpm with 10% additional rpm in air ( correct me if I am wrong )

Is that possible for the ZG62 to run 7200 with a 20x15 ?

Thank's for your answers .

You might go here http://www.usrainfo.org/index.asp and get on their forum. Ask what the current AT6 class prop is.

I raced a composite 26 lb Texan in 98 99 and 2000. At that time with a "stock" G 62 and the race approved APC 22x10 I had laps average up and down wind at 135 mph. Problem was the top guys were at 140. Ground rpms were 7350 to 7400 on a good day. No funky on board GPS this was using a calibrated radar provided by the race staff. I could never figure out why this klunky round cowl airplane would go that fast but they did. I bet they are even faster now.
