What? You seriously considering an ARF? has the world gone topsy turvy?? About time! haha, you might find it even flies straight too

I still haven't decided what I'm gonna get either.. something around the 60 - 70 inch span would be good... and yeah electric is a winner, I've gotten rid of most of my IC stuff anyway. Is anyone making arf kits of the new generation redbull air race planes? ie. the mxs-r or low profile edge 540 with winglets?

Electric is a winner .... your right the world has gone topsy turvy

EG Aircraft have a MXS-R fully decked out in airrace trim ... cowl, wingtips, canopy etc ... but it is 50cc class.

Oh Taylor... I have always been a fan of the Edge 540, it's a beautiful plane with nice crisp lines, But you're attempts have always looked a bit more like a flying house boat than an Edge! get an ARF mate, you can't go wrong!

Places to buy cheap racers for alex

1. Toprc http://www.toprc.co.nz/webshop/index.php?cPath=61
2. RCBandit's .40 size planes http://rcb.shopnz.biz/catalog/index....17ec5c4c0a141c
3. Raid Salmonds

Regarding the battery, to start with are you sure you what to be racing with such a low Kv motor, I bet the Southerners is not much over 1000kv? Wouldn't you want at least about 1600kv+? But then you will drain the battery faster...

About equivalent to a 1.00-1.20 glow. Will swing a 16x10 with ease, or for pylon... maybe a 14x12 if you can find one

Thats even worse than I thought... it may have a load of power but that doesn't mean it will be fast.
Is 1st gear in your peugeot fast? Thats what I thought...

Oh wait neither is 5th
