Point taken Doug,
I'll stop whining about the size of my baby Bella. Nice engine BTW.

Thanks. I am going to re-enforce the engine box with CF and fiberglass cloth. A guy in Germany has built one with a 275 already so I am hoping I will be OK.

I myself have looked at this plane, but it is highly expensive for my pocket.
So I prefer to take the company TWM Piper Cub, but even bigger than the Citabria..
Citabria is only 122 inch (3.1m),my Piper is 141 inch(3.6m)
The price of aircraft is very different.
Citabria is nearly 1200 € at Lindinger (Austria) http://shop.lindinger.at/product_inf...ducts_id=91166
but I for Piper gave only 600 €, that is half less, but even bigger is.
Provided for the engine power 85ccm, but the scale of fly completely enough 55ccm
I have DLE 55 with krumscheid silencer and that enough for some aerobatic flying

here is some pics of my monster

My 122" is finally flying, like a big fat, overpowered trainer! Very floaty.

Here are some shots of the maiden

Very nice! Which size batteries are you using and how much flight time are you getting out of them? Can it hover with the Rimfire 65cc?

Congrats Parrot Girl! Looks great!

Can you tell us about your lighting system? It doesn't look like the Pilot RC one.

Happy Landings

No it is not the Pilot RC lighting. I wasn't happy with it so I made my own. They are 8mm 1 watt straw hat LED's run by a single A123 battery. I got the covers for the wing tip lights from parkflyer plastics and made the reflectors inside with chrome vinyl. The landing light uses the reflector from an old school torch, the edging is vinyl (I have a craft robo - invaluable for doing trim on aircraft!)

Klem is that a Super Cub or Paulistinha?

Klem,

I am ordering the World Models Super Cub 1/3 scale. The one I seen here in the USA has flaps and slightly different red stripes. Is yours a Super Cub or Paulistihna?

Also, I will use either a Rimfire 50cc (which I have) or get a Rimfire 65cc since I have many 6S/5000 lipos from my 35% H9 Extra 260.

Hope it flies as easily as my 260 did on electric, if not will go gas.

JB

I was wanting to go with a DLE 60-twin for the 32% Decathlon.

I've been told it wouldn't fit. I believe the engine measures 10.5" plug tip to tip. Caps would push out from there.

Cowl is 250mm or approx 11.75".

Maybe squeeze it in with blisters? Really don't want big holes in cowl for head relief.

Thoughts on the combo? Issues? Should be a good match on power, no?
