Very true. Some of those alloys are more than suitable for this application.

Doubt they manufacture much.
Their website shows a Hobbywing Pentium V3 switchmode 40amp esc with the cover off. The motors look rather generic, some with a scorpion style "fan" Several servo makers in Shenhzen, where these guys have their "room" located that will put anyone's name on a product. |

I agree there are copper alloys, beryllium copper for one would be an excellent choice, but I doubt that's what there are using die to cost. More likely a language issue and choice of words. But, copper alloy in it's pure form would not be a good choice.
