I am watching you do your assembly before I decided to get one as I have had issues with Pilot in the past. And so far so good, look's very promising.
By the way, let your friend know that when he orders a package from B&E he can have any of the logos changed by leaving his preferred brand in the comment box, at no additional cost.

Thanks, so far no structural issues, you could however put some of the triangle stock they supply with the ARF in places in the engine box, mostly on the slopping part where I mounted the servo tray. I cut a hole in the bottom then glued the tray over that. Gives u just a little more meat to grab for the servo screws. Oh, and he knows now, lol!

What size standoffs would I need for the DA120? And did the 90mm drop headers work?

The standoffs came to 1/6 of an inch less than 1 3/4 inch, I have about 2 1/6th's clearance between my backplate & the cowl. At 1 3/4 It's 3. I don't use headers. I'm using DA Slimline mufflers.

My servos didn't get in till almost 8:30 pm yesterday, so I really got nothing done yesterday..waiting for 2, 24 inch sevo extensions to go through the wing struts so I can plug into my powerbox and get all 4 surfaces aligned!

Ok. This is a heads up people. I put this standard hi-tec servo in the wing slot and it touched the other side leaving a slight bluge...slight! I think that will cause issues with ur covering over time...So it's best IMO, to use low profile servos in the wing.

Cables on the back were soooo easy. The hardware is what makes it so easy! All i have left r the wings. My servo extensions to go through the struts, will be here tomorrow and then I'll finish the wings & be done!

So it seems the wings might not be thin, and possibly have enough room to hold a standard size servo.
I would go low profile in the wings, if u buy this plane!

Ok, took a couple days off but im back at it again. Im using the turnbuckles that came with the ARF to do the wing wires, however im improvising with Seacraft tensioners & easy wire couplers. With these, there is no shrink wrap to put on and it's a very clean look...It's expensive, $150.00 to do it, but for me it's worth it. Snowing outside, best time to build!

Everything is ready to go. Just need to balance it with my batteries. I don't know about anybody else but ive owned 4 Pilot planes and all were built well..Their customer service at Pilot usa.com is excellent and they stand behind product..The free wood program works, I know i had to use it to repair my edge 540. Im a satisfied customer 4 times over & will keep coming back!!!
