Well it's almost finished. Mount the windshield, batteries, rx and balance and it will be ready for a maiden.
Went with Hitec 645's on ail and rudder, 625's on el. OS FG40 for power.

Just a note to see.if anyone has put a Valley View Twin 40 on one of those planes ?

Not in the L4 but I had one in my clipped wing.

The 40 would be perfect for the L4. As a matter of fact I wanted the l4 but they were out of stock so I bought the clipped. The vv40 twin idled so low and was so smooth that you could not see any vibration in the plane at idle.

I want the new blue marines version so bad. But I am holding out for a 40% if he offers it.....HINT,HINT. Seeing these great build photos really makes me jealous. I have a friend with the 40% L4 and it is stellar. BH rocks.

And it flys like a Cub should. Got a couple uneventful flights in this morning before the wind blew in.

Can someone please measure the width of the cowl 1 inch from the nose and and one inch from the rear. Also the distance from the firewall to the nose. I am entertaining using the OS pegasus flat four.
