Buyer beware

If you buy a model from www.generalhobby.com open the box ASAP! I purchased a 30 size SBach carbon fiber V2 and when it arrived put it away for 7 months. I was flying carbon SBach at the time. Decided to change colors so started putting together and it was NOT reinforced as ordered! So I put it together and on the 7th flight the right wing folded in half causing a total loss. They said they would see what they could do. Have not heard from them since! Donít forget, YOU ONLY GET WHAT. YOU PAY FOR! Purchased an 26% Edge 540 from Pilot, what a difference!

I don't look to save a buck or two but I do check the contents upon arrival, even if it is going to get shelved for a while. Just seems like a good thing to do.

Not to take your point to heart.
But, if you decided to change color and was not reinforced as you thought should be... couldn't you reinforce it previous to covering and (maybe) save the plane?
HOnest question...
Regards,
Patrick

I’m sorry you had trouble. I bought a 30cc Sbach from them and I am very pleased with the price, delivery time and construction of the plane. The only thing I could think to complain about is that one of the plastic wing nuts is a bit tight. I’m going to chase the thread in the wing with a tap and see if that fixes the only minor issue. It is a great flyer with the 30cc twin I installed and I could not be happier. The size is perfect, the tail fits through doors without having to turn the plane, it fits nicely in the car, it is a good looker and tracks like it is on rails. I did upgrade the servo arms to aluminum.
