I would too. Leave them full length both sides. That also leaves an option of not only pull-pull, but a second servo if you wanted one in the future, or if you happen to sell the plane at some point, a new owner would then have those options. Leave all options open.

My flying friend has this plane with a 120 in it, he's flying Intermediate class in IMAC with it this year. It's a fine flying plane when set up correctly.

I am having problems sliding the bloody rudder through the cutouts provided. ..

After sanding and opening the cutouts slightly, I am not able to slide the horn throughout the entire rudder as it seems there is no much room inside to make the turn necessary to insert the horn across.

Don’t want to force it in case I cause some damage inside.

Do I have to cut it anyway in order to glue the control horns on both sides separately?, or is it possible to slide it through in one piece?

What’s the trick??

Defiantly Keep it one piece, They can be really tight, a few options:

-On the Horn were it changes angles if you find it hard to push around them , give them a slight sand or file to help push around.

-Do the above to the slots to allow then to go in a little better,

You can push pretty hard and all you will be doing is squishing the hard balsa in side the rudder which is ok, But don't go nuts if it feel super tight just clearance some more.

Also ensure the slot is clean and does not have glues or something hindering you horn install.

Fuel proofing

Engine box was fuel proofed but many patches were left inside so I gave it a good protection using some epoxy resin I have used for fibre glassing warbirds L285 which is great for this as well..,

Same in the undercarriage mount.

Prepping surfaces for horn installation

Cover removed for servos and horns.

Have to say that I had to some some good sanding on some of the horn slots to get them to fit in as some glue was stuck inside

Bit of painting

While painting my props with the usual fluorescent orange, I thought about getting my hands dirty with the extra 330sc surface horns, why not?

Tamiya sprays are perfect for this, easy, quick dry out and perfect color match!

Looking very nice, These detail touchs make all the difference. Now paint you motor box and inside the cowl.

Horns

Thanks to COVID-19 and having to spend the next 2 weeks at home, I think I am going to have plenty of time now to get more stuff done!, Although I wonder if shipping companies are still going as I need my servo arms...

In the meantime, cracking on with glueing all horns with 30min epoxy, easy stuff.

Lots of prep though to get the job done nicely
