I've got a few hours in an M20. Great plane.
My dad had his new Mooney Mite on display at the Nebraska state fair about 1955 or 1956.

I initially started out with a Top Flight Beechcraft V35 and it's a pretty docile plane. It had a Saito 120 but I converted it to electric due to a noise variance at my flying field. Once I accomplished several flights on the conversion I began to look for other similar but (different) GA planes to enjoy.

While visiting a local airport I saw a Mooney on display outside of the main building. Needless to say, I was enamored with it so much that I started the quest for scratch building one. I took a similar airframe (fuse) and constructed the main wing and empennage. It was my first time doing such. But it turned out pretty nice plus it flies very smoothly. I'm still making a few adjustments and I have few more cosmetic things to resolved.
