FUTABA RECEIVER LOOSING CONNECTION WITH TX

Hi guys:
I have a plane with a Futaba R6008HS receiver, and all of the sudden lost connection with the TX. Both LEDs wen to red and green. The manual indicates that the RX is initializing, of course no power was lost during this event. Turning the TX OFF and back ON didn't fix the problem. I could only made it reconnect by power cycling the RX. It repeated the same thing several times. Obviously I replaced the RX, it seems defective.
To continuoe with the troubleshooting, I connected another R6008HS to the same power as the defective one and noticed that the bad receiver would turn both red and green leds when the power is first applied then goes to red or black (tx off or on). It means to me that the bad receiver is taking longer to initialize. But why different? It it really defective or I have tow different firmware on those?
I sent FUTABA an e mail and no answer. !!
Thanks for any input.
J

The solid red/green lights when plugged in tells you it' s initializing.
Solid Red after that tells you there is no signal reception.

Try re-binding the receiver.
Check which mode it's in (High/Low Speed)

There are a lot of variables, read through the manual again and make sure your settings are the same and correct in each receiver for the application it is in.

The 6008 is a fairly old RX and it is entirely possible that it has gone bad. I would send it in to service, although I am not sure they even service that any longer. I had one that finally gave up the ghost and will not power on. But it served me well for a long time.

Never hurts to try to re-link to see if that makes a difference.

Also not sure who you emailed when you "emailed Futaba" but FutabaUSA is the official sales and service for Futaba products now.

I already read through the manual. The weird thing was the fact that both receiver lights behaved differently, aside from losing connection.
Thanks for your reply.

I'll try to rebind it to see what happens. I won't use that RX anymore anyway!
I wrote an e mail to Futaba (contact form at futabausa.com), and also left a voice message to the person from technical support. This was a week ago, no reply yet.
I know the RX is old and I am now fading out FUTABA anyway.
Thanks for your reply.

That receiver is in my profile pic plane. Flying it hard for five years.
FUSA is very slow to respond. I have yet to have a positive experience unfortunately.
I see that you edited your OP. . . Re-Bind that receiver. It simply sounds like it cannot find a link. Although I don't understand why it would go black... if it's lights out... time to deep six it.
What Tx are you using anyway? Did you do any software updates recently? Are the lights solid, flashing, alternating... ? Figure out what mode it's in.

the folks in Huntsville are working staggered shifts and are not there every day, for the obvious reasons. They will get back to you as they work through the requests.

One club fellow gave me one because of the same. After reading the instructions found the following; receiver was set for high speed (HS) and his transmitter had not offer 8 plus channels programing (think this is not your case)
