Sent mine in yesterday. Weather is looking good for tomorrow, let's go flying! Rumor has it that Wayne Parrish is going to make an appearance to do a maiden on a new BIG plane. I thought about making a double header and doing the maiden on my new plane, but it's not quite going to be ready. Here's a pic, the cowl and pants are painted too, but they are still wet!

Piedmont Aeromodelers had our monthly meeting last night and discussed last minute details of our IMAA Fun Fly which is dated for March 26, 2011. I invite all our modeling buddies to come for a great weekend of flying fun and fellowship. Anyone is welcome to come out early and stay late. Early arrival is encouraged. Bring your tent/RV and spend the weekend with us. IMAA Saturday only!

Last nights "Tech Time" subject was "Fail safe". Setting throttle to return to idle at signal loss. Have you checked the fail safe setting on your model? Simple test.... Tether your model (hold securely so it will not get away) and while at idling simply turn your transmitter off. Throttle should not advance. Check your Transmitter's manual for properly setting your fail safe. If you a using 72. MHz. on FM receivers you can purchase an in line fail safe device to aid you in achieving this setting.

Happy "Safe" Flying!

Kent Porter
