Tom - great looking plane. How did the DLE run? I have one on my P-40. I'm counting on Jerry's theory because it has some dings from the build in my small build area in the garage - ouch! I was hoping to have it out at the field this weekend, but it won't work out that way. Won't be there this weekend ... but I'll see you guys at the Fun Fly!

I'm looking forward to the first time we get a TFGS Corsair, P51, and P40 straffing together at the sametime. All we need now is the TFGS P47 and we'll have em all in the air.. Anyone?? See you all soon. Kevin.

I have a .60 size P-47 but I converted to gas using a DLE 20. Last time (and first) it flew like it was tail heavy but it was way over powered. When it landed had a prop strike and I need to move the landing gear a bit forward to avoid another prop strike. I'm gonna give it one more try if not its going to Skip's lot for sale!

John, Engine cranked after 10 to 12 flips on the first start after choking. On the second try after choking the engine started on the third flip. I didn't really run to long, I'm following the online advice of breaking it in while in the air, but on the short ground run I moved the throttle up a bit and it has plenty of power. Just got get these thumbs to stop shaking!

Looking Good Kevin! When's the check flight?

I was ready to go this weekend but it was just a bit to windy for a first flight.
Maybe Friday

Probably about three weeks out still got some things to do. Got to try and get it done and trimmed out before 4/22/11 got a GS WB meet in SC. I was hoping to have it ready for this weekend but not going to get it done in time. It seems when you get one thing squared away 2 more pop up. It will however one day be finished and it will not be as long as it has been. See ya Saturday. Kevin.

Another great Fun Fly at Fayetteville even with the weather! Kent does a great job and club members had all the extra's covered. Nice chow and pilot prizes (thks to Aeroworks, Castle, Tower Hobbies, & Skip) and with 30 registered pilots just about everyone got something.
It was fun to meet some out-of- towners including Rick from way up in Minnesota, Tony from Tennessee, and the Dave & Dave show from Wilmington.

Looking forward to the Warbird Fly in Nov 19/20.

I have the AJ Slick ready for the IMAC contest and hope to make it out, even if late. Since today was pretty much an inside day I did manage a little progress on the new bird. I ended up putting my satelite rx in the cockpit gets it in a good position and looks cool too.

Cool John, be sure and not let Issac get a finger in there. I been thrashing al day as well. I must say it is taking it's toll, just want it to get done. So close but tedious things left to do. Man I sure hope it FLIES. See ya soon. Kevin. Also great job with the Flyin folks. Lots of good flying, not a drop of rain fell until 3 pm. I guess all the many amatuer Weather men were wrong. Kevin.
