Hi, looking at getting back in to flying.

Been out of flying for several years. I really liked kit building the planes. I just had the opportunity to acquire two Lanier planes NIB, the giant Stinger and the S-300 Staudacher (96") for my first large scale planes. I'm thinking of starting with the S-300. Do you think the DA-100 would to large and heavy for it? I know the G62 is usually recommended but it's at the bottom of the displacement range for this plane.

I think I’d go with a DA-70 twin on the Staudacher. The 100 would probably be fine if it’ll fit in the cowl. It’s a lot heavier and the Staudacher is already on the heavy side.
