Comp-arf 2.3, R.i.p.!!!

Well, I finally did the hover to tourque roll, to engine die, to lawn dart. Stuffed the DA 50 back about six inches. Thats what you get when you run your engine a bit rich, and it loads up. Anyone looking for parts? Well, the plane has lasted me a long time. Rest in pieces, you red and white, fiberglass, lawn dart! Anyone know of a better plane to get than the comparf for the DA50? Maybe the Vision, or sammys Yak? I would post pics, but Im a bit "upset" at the moment. Well, not upset, more out of breath. Son of a bitch! Now I have the rest of the parts for the 2.6 Yak!

Bummer...I have been working on that very same maneuver...LOL. FWIW, I can tell you that my 30% TOC Yak "darted" very well and is getting repaired.

Geez Chopped.

Do you think we should hold a wake for it. Sounds like you were kinda attached to that little puppy.

Heart goes out to you bro, Poo happens even here on the giants dude.

You still have a long way to go to catch up with Banks however. He is Mr LAWNDART in person.

Why does that sound so familiar? Oh yeah! I almost pancaked my PW Extra twice in Harrier due to slight rich setting loading up my engine. I got lucky as it started to sag but never died completely causing just enough forward movement to cushion the fall. In the end it was just a prop and bent gear.

How is the engine? Taka a look at Aeroworks QB Yak. According to them you can get one in the air in 1 day with all the things predone for you. The catch? It is still on a boat to stateside.

I can induct you into the Team Lawn Dart Hall of Fame. I haven't started the page yet...but there is always a second, cause my Suk that I ditched on it's 3rd flight was the first. Financially it wasn't as big of a loss....but it was the one plane I truely never wanted to see wrecked.

Re: Comp-arf 2.3, R.i.p.!!!

That plane was pretty damn dialed. Its is still in the back of the truck, and I can't bare it to go outside and even unload it. "El Jefe" is dead. I named all my big planes "El Jefe", and now Im on to the next one. I guess if I get a new dome, and a new cowl, I can fix it, But, to be honest, I want to move on to bigger pastures. Im going to have to drink a beer tonight, and poor out some on the ground for my holmy! In fact, we should just make that a new thing where when an RIP, everyone on the site that drinks a beer that night has to poor some out on the ground for the "fallen". Hey, they do it in the biker gangs! Son of a bitch.

Damn Chopped,

That sucks dude...

If you can bring yourself to write some more, let us know what you decide to replace it with, when you decide.

As for the beer thing, I can't dump any out, I'm in the house, but I just took a swig for you and your former bird, RIP
