Could I request the help of all to identify this plane. I got it this week and unsure if it’s an in the Edge family or Extra family. Wings are 80 inch. Any help would be beneficial.

Edge 540. Looks like it could be a Wild Hare Edge 540, but not 100% sure on the manufacture.

Edge wings are straight leading edges and tapered trailing edge. Extras taper leading and trailing edge of the wing. I would guess you are in the edge family.

Internal structure doesn't match Wild Hare. That looks like it might have been some kind of kit.

Not so simple. The Extra 300SR also has a straight leading Edge, designed specifically for the Red Bull air races. We (PAU) considered producing it a while back.

Possibly. Not many older edge designs that size with the aileron counter balances

Thanks, I spoke with D&L Designs and it is an Edge 540. Older design plane but the one I have seems very well built. Looking forward to getting it up in the air soon.
