OMP Hybrid Edge 540 kit

I bought one of these kits years ago and stashed it in the closet and forgot about it....

It's got a 92" wing span for 50, 60cc engines. I searched and didn't find anything on it. I don't think they make the kit anymore.

Anybody have one?

I had one, built with DLE55 then converted to ZDZ80 twin.....was a blast to fly! Only problem I absolutely came to hate was that the wing is built with a flat top and tapered bottom (dihedral) so it gets a little wing rock. The wing is absolutely thicker than a 43% carden edge, so if you have the means to build the wing with tapered top and bottom would drastically help the performance in harrier. When I built mine I widened all the fuse formers so the plane was about 1.5" wider at the front than stock. MUCH MUCH easier to get in there to install hardware and install wing bolts and things like that. Mine is still alive, but I sold it to a local guy.

I'll think about it and let you know if I post it in the classifieds.

Go to the Profile Brotherhood and list it. Shouldn't last long.

If you decide to sell it, it should go quickly.

Wish I'd widened mine a little. Would have made it a lot easier to the the engine in, too without hacking up the front so much. I used a litle spoileron on mine to cure the wing rock. Easiest hovering plane I've ever had. I don't need a kit, but would have to seriously consider buying it if it became available just to have around.

How many rolls of covering does it take to cover this model?

I use the Hobby King rolls and it took 1 10 meter roll of white, 1 5 meter roll of red, and 1 5 meter of black for trim. Had a lot of black left.

I love mine. I got a extra kit in stock just as a backup should/when this bird drops from the sky.
