Since that vw engine is not big enough to stick out of the cowl, you need to make it into a Supercub and add flaps

Now all you got to do is make it remote controlled. Watching with desires of doing the same some day.

Lol well both cylinders stick outside the cowl and my wife kind of wishes that I would find servos for it lol

Well I have another update. I have been working on the engine and waiting for the air temperature to get above 32F so I could start the engine. Today I had a great chance to fire it up. I couldn't get it to run for very long as I need to remove the carburetor and rebuild it but I was happy to hear it fire up! Here is a video and the last engine run was the best and longest. So I ordered a carburetor kit and should be here in a couple of days.

I have to agree! And it runs surprisingly smooth!

I repaired the carburetor and this is the first engine run after the repair. Much better now. Now for warmer weather so I can finish running the engine after the rebuild, the engine manual states that the engine needs to be ran for 5 hours for break in before flight. I am going to start working on the wings, inspection and wing tip repair on the right wing.
