Just returned from the Blue River IMAC where we had a great event run by Mike Karnes.
The weather is looking awesome for this coming weekend and the sun will be at our backs all weekend long! I hope everyone who was at the Blue River IMAC will head on over to Columbus for Memorial Day weekend. Mike Barbee will be having a great barbecue for all of the pilots at his house on Saturday night. I will be at the field all day on Friday if anyone needs help trimming their plane or wants some tips to fly the perfect IMAC sequence.

New guys that are going I would take the offer from Kurt. He is very helpful and enjoys teaching others. It is a great contest and has been around for years because it is ran very smoothly. I can't attend this year because of my anniversary. Have a great time.

I have ran both the 30x12 and 30x13 Mejzlik on the DA170 with tuned pipes. Both can be fairly quiet if you don't fly at full throttle on horizontal lines. If given the choice I would probably run the 30x13.

Here is a list of pilots that have signed up for the event or who have told me they are planning to attend. Four of the Unlimited pilots flying at this event will be flying in the Clover Creek Invitational this fall. This is a great chance for newer IMAC competitors to get help from some very experienced pilots.

That was a great event! Had a great time and met some more great people. Looking forward to this weekend.

Happy to know that the sun won't be right in our faces for the first two rounds of the day. Too bad it's going to be hotter than last weekend, but that's better than raining and cold!!

Wish I could be out Friday, but looks like another all nighter on the road for me to get there Saturday. Someone wake me up before the pilot's meeting, each round, and to go home. I have a feeling little sleep is on the schedule again for this weekend. See you all there!

I should be able to leave after work friday but not early enough to do any flying friday at the event. But I'm excited to try my first contest this year and try sportsman out with my 55cc extra. Last year was basic with a 30cc slick and last contest was the cincy burn it challenge. I've been practing on/off this year but will practice more tonight and tomorrow for sure

John,
Glad to hear you are headed up to Columbus. You can start flying at the field after the sun is above the horizon, so you should be able to get in a practice flight before the contest.
