Thanks for following! I'd like to have them flight ready in the next 4 weeks, but highly dependent on work / freetime ratio. February lately has had some warmer days and maidens will likely take place 175 miles south of here in Council Bluffs IA. Seems they warm up a bit faster with less snow pack on average down there.

Hey Karl, thanks. Looking forward to talking to you down at Nall this year. Still not certain I'll have anything there to fly, but the list of people to talk to is growing so probably spectating again.

I am glad you want the blue one, because I want the black one. Now we don't have to fight over who gets which one.

Hi guys. I've started following this thread recently but didnt from the start. If you'd like to, can you do a quick history of what changes happened during the design/building process?
I was expecting to see 70cc engines and now I see 100cc engines. Not saying its bad, I'm just interested in how this change happened and what were the reasons for this decision.

Great build BTW. I really think we'll start to see more non scale planes in the future.

He is building one for each engine size

And there is a very good reason as to why.........because he wanted to

Hey Earl, I didn't know you had reached "FROG" status Just kidding, sporting that new avatar you are no "FROG" by flightline or any other definition. Good luck in 2014

3D Joy, by all means go back and sift through the pics will tell most of it. To sum up as in post #1 I wanted to create something different using features that I really like an an aerobatic airplane. I designed it around the DA70. Then I got my brain working and thought why not make use of one of these used DA100's on the market with all the people upgrading, add a little wing area, a little rudder size, a few other mods and now we're calling that one Viper-ST. ST stands for "Sick and Twisted".

Here is a little teaser for the bottom of ST. The only part of this I'm using is the checkers, no words or faded stuff. Bottom of wings will be white with these printed checkers.

Hey, new toy's and accessories showed up today!! My nice shiny Jtec Slick Compacts showed up for the DA100 in the ST These are going to give ST a nice badass sound too, I can tell.

Also my hotwire for doing wing coring.....on the NEXT one! I just got the 6 volt power supply since my new bow cutting power supply will go up to 30 volts and I can always make an adapter if needed for the hand tool to go to 8v or so. Thanks to the guy's on RC Canada for recommending this tool. Couple of cool build threads going on over there:

I'd say you nailed it(as usual) on the sick and twisted scheme. I hope to get my hands on one of those hot wire deals if I ever find time to get back to building.

Neat scheme....I suppose the flames will be layered? I agree about not doing the fade in the white blocks.

FROG.....guess I'll have to get a few stickers .

Although I like the "Old Guys Rule" stuff. Have a shirt and sticker on the Raven. Love their line...."The older I get - the better I was!"

BTW - I think I'm the most senior member of the Team

Yea, not sure why my graphics guy put the fades in there. These will be photo real printed air release vinyl. Most of the graphics on the ST are like that as a matter of fact.

More on that later....
