Yak 110"

Hi, is anybody using a smoke system on the Extreme Flight Yak 110"??? I've just had my maiden last week, the plane needs some fine tuning, my concern is the added weight of the smoke oil, separate 9.6v battery and smoke pump. It is a site to see the smoke come on. The plane is powered by a DA 120 with stock mufflers. Would the added weight be crucial in limiting performance or shouldn't I be concerned at all??? The other draw back is that because of the wing tube I cannot place the tank for the smoke oil right on the CG which in turns means change in CG during flight. Again nothing I cannot live with but any suggestions would be appreciated. Frank

I have been flying mine with smoke for a couple of years with a DLE 111. the thing does not even flinch at the extra weight.

If you are using stock muffs why not put it in the tunnel under the wing tube

I would have to agree. Put the smoke tank in the pipe tunnel. Perfect place to put it and you can place it right on the cg.
