You log the amount of flights and fuel you use? I know a pattern guy that logs everything down to how his clevises and such are wearing. It is rather amazing to see him do that, yet it waste a lot of precious flying time as the rest of us are flying while he is writing in his log book. I just don't find it that important to me as I like to spend my time flying.

I agree !! I mark my flights after i get home and the most flights i have had in a year is 500 that includes all planes and helicopters. That particular year, I flew every chance I got. My experience is that at the end of the year people don't fly as much as they think they did...

and I keep all the bottles of oil so I can easily look back to see what I have used for that year.. then they get tossed.. |

just because your a worker bee that has a normal job and have to go to a flying field to do your flying.. doesnt mean the rest of us are that way ...so you can take your flag and shove it right back where it came from.. should I draw you a map?? that 157 is 6 years old, and has bounced between a few different planes.. all of them being my favorites for that certain year.. 3 dubs are a tad more thirsty than the other brands, and will suck down a 64oz tank in less then 20 mins of flight time 1 Gallons (US) = 128.000128 Fluid Ounces (US) that is 2 tanks of fuel per gallon.. would you care to some math smart guy, oh yeah figure in that I also live on a 640 acre ranch that has a 2780' full scale run way which is right off my back porch and I have the ability to fly all year round and I have nothing to dictate my time other than flying for about 4 hours or more a day 8-10 on the weekends |

I hear guys say things like, man I must have flown a dozen flights and they only flew around six times because I was there flying pretty much every time they were and I knew how many times they flew If one flew an even dozen flights on each day of the weekend that is only 24 flights a week. If you could possibly fly 40 weeks out of the 52 (in most climates we have) then you would have logged 960 flights for the year and that ain't likely to happen. I am often at the field more than many of my peers and I don't think I ever put over 500 flights on in a year. Often I go to one field in the morning and hit another field in the evening to fly. I would imagine it is more along the lines of 200-400 flights a year depending on the conditions. |

good call, I wish most guys would be absolutey honest about how many gallons have actually been through there engines..
seem like all guys selling an engine only have a max of 5 gallons through it.. ; ) the fiddy's and hundy's are pretty fuel efficient, these big ones can suck up some fuel fairly quickly |

Not sure what radio you have but mine will keep track to number of flights based on the timer and total time. Gallons don't mean much because a 20cc plane will go several hours on a gallon of fuel vs a 170 that might get 1 hour on a gallon of fuel. |
