I did replace all the plywood in the kit with lite-ply with the exception of the firewall and the gear plate. I did stretch the fuselage 2inches . I have one of the older 3W-70 cc engines in it, it is a bit heaver the some of the newer engines on the market but it helped with the balance. All up weight with 5 servos and 2 123 6.6 volt battery's is 20lb5oz. Hope this helps, and thanks for asking.

It flew well with that DA50 because the all up weight was 15lbs. 8 ozs. You know buddy, I have never seen that picture before, and it has been a few years, I built that thing around 2004 or 2005, it was before my Carden 260 and I built it in 2006.

MM, thanks for your response regarding weight. Sorry for the late acknowledgement. Just got back into town from vacation.
I will dig into my Laser and see what can be done.

You make me want to pull out my old Laser that's been in the bones for the last 25 years. I used the ABS parts as molds to make my own fiberglass parts. Amazingly enough it worked great. Where did you get your canopy, I really like the look?

I found the Canopy at the H-S here in town. I think it was for some sort of a Extra 300, it was kind of beat up but only gave $5.00 for it. I cut it to fit and glass it in . The paint is DuPont base coat clear coat. I sanded the Canopy with 2000 sand paper and then clear coated the hole thing. I think it came out looking OK. Thank for asking.
