Any of you who went to Joe Nall this year might recognize this plane. It's a Riley Model B designed and built by Chuck Gratner and his brother. It was featured in one of the magazines this past winter and was the featured plane on the welcome banner as you entered Triple Tree.
I am very honored and lucky to be the owner of this handsome flying machine now. I flew it for the first time this evening. As great as it looks on the ground, it looks even better in the air. Colton, you told me I'd love flying it, and once I got over the initial jitters, it was a great experience. And the Moki 180 radial on the front has everyone salivating, myself included. |
