Warbird ARFs

I am working with a manufacturer to bring in some warbird ARFs. I was wondering what warbird would you like to see available. One option we are considering is the P-38 built around the 30cc class gassers. But we would like to hear your suggestions.

You feedback will be appreciated.

FW190
Bearcat
P-47
P-38

But if you are going to do it....make sure they are larger than 79in or 1/4 scale so they are IMAA legal.

P-38 would be great!

P-47 in both bubble and razorback!

+1 on being IMAA legal!

I'll second the P-38 as well as the Bearcat. The P-40 is always a good choice as well.

Sleepy, I like to walk first before I start running . A 50cc class should span in the 85++ ws range.

A 30cc would be in the upper 70 ws range. A p-38 would be close to the 10o ws range. This is a guesstimate at the moment.

BTW, What about a Yak-3?

The thing is, there are tons of glow/almost gas sized war birds available.

The only big stuff really available are kits you have to build.

Now I like building, just not warbirds....
But I would LOVE to buy a nice big 100cc sized warbird ARF, and do some 150 mph worm burner flights now and again.

Just sayin!

I would love to have a twin ARF warbird with 2 - 85 cc motors now that's fast.

This is a great point, there is a flood of these coming out especially all the esm from troybuilt....Look into 50cc and a few 100cc go with some easy flying stuff first ala P47 etc, you spend about the same setting up a 30cc as a 50cc so really its just the plane thats a bit more....

Zero

F4U corsair

I think the best target market is for a 50cc single. I have always liked the FW-190 and TA-152. A 50cc Zero would be cool. ANd of course, my all time favorite piston powered warbird - The Douglas A-1 Skyraider!!

I see what you guys are saying and will use your feedback to work around a larger scale too.

Judge,

You are right. The Skyraider is a nice bird!

Snap,

A twin 85cc bird will span in the 150" range . It would be awesome but OMG, the logistics will be crazy.

Count me in for a 50cc A-1 Skyraider and a Zero that size would be awsome as well!!
