Okay so who's going. I need some help. If anyone from the DFW or Denton is planning on going I'd like to know if I could hitch a ride or follow someone down. If I have to hitch a ride then I will split gas cost.

I try to make Fly ins where the people putting them on will go support others...........They dont seem to do that....

Glad to see all the support guys. Isn't this hobby about going out and having a good time with people who share the same interest, regardless if they frequent a website or go to certain events. I'm sure it's a great event and there will be lots of great guys/gals in attendance.

I typically would refrain from poking my nose into such topics where I am not effected but I just hate seeing people be given a hard time simply because it isn't a "brand name" event.

Its a great event....Last year was a total blast..Theres a ton of great pilots in houston..I am a long way from there and will more than likly go.........

Guy's, we had a huck fest here in Houston last year, and even Max and Momo came, but there was a bunch of crap about profiles and GS dont mix and other negative crap that resulted in a very short pilots registration. The fact is, that there are ALOT of GS, 3D pilots interested in events like this here in Texas, and it seems as though noone else supports the Texas members. The DOD flyins are mostly local Texas people because it is such a big state that it takes forever to get through it to go somewhere else. What is it coming to , ford vs chevy in the FG community now??? If its not an FG event, then your not coming, thats a great attitude to have. This is about flying model airplanes in such a manner that is not predominately accepted in our area, so ANY body that takes the time to organize an event for us like minded hobbiest to get together for some commradery and 3D flying I say thank you for your effort and I hope I can make it...................

My 2Cents Is I am from houston and lived in central Tx for 17 years before moving to MS........I know how big it is....Is it farther going away from houston

They were going to make it much easier for a lot of folks to attend, they were talking about doing it in the D/FW area..... That idea was quickly killed.

I don't think I can make on those dates b/c I have promised some guys I would put on a demo at their local airshow-funfly. I will check the dates though and if I can make it I will. It sounds like it is making up to be a awesome time. Are you guys holding a freestyle contest this year and also is kyle going. That boy can flat slap the sticks and make it look good.
And for the guys poking the DOD events need to be the guys that make this event. We all are having a good time even if it is not a "huckfest" and to say a event is crap b/c it not a huckfest is the same as saying the nall,the nats,the shoot out, etc etc etc is crap. Come on guys open your eyes here and let's have some fun. I challege you all to hit a DOD event I promise it will not be the last.
Some body chime in and give us the details about this years event.
Oh and if the not a huckfest post was just for fun poking at the texas boys let me show you guys how you do it
I know a lot of you guys came up to the heatwave so maybe a few arkies and okies will venture deep in to the long horns territory to show you guys how to fly I mean we got to show how to throw the pig skin around so why should flying be any different.
