Re: omp fusion covering

Good. Considering replacing my old kit built fusion. I am considering putting together a new fusion with fast hi-torque servos from a heli I sold. Also have a new saito 125 from a trade this winter for it. Will this be to much motor for it, what prop would work good?? My current fusion has an os 91fx and lacks pull-out.

the 125 will be great, and no never too much power!!! i would think a good 3d prop would be 17x4 or 18x4. i have never ran that engine so i wouldnt tell you for sure. one mod you need to make is the rear stab, just put some kind of support from the fuse to the stabs. at high speeds the stab is not enough to hold those big a$$ elevators!!

Can I use some 45 degree angle basswood or balsa next to the fuse to reinforce it? Can I do it just on the bottom or is it needed on the top also?

Use flying wires or glue some small diameter carbon fiber rods from the bottom of the stab to the bottom of the fuse like stab braces. I recommend this approach if you are going to fly very aggressively and use a big motor.
