Well' I did notice you did not have your usual glow Andy, but then you did have different "guests" for the weekend.

Re: Precision Aerobatics Katana MD

Hey guys, what batteries are you guys running in your setups? I am getting a FP 2170 25C and TP 2200 extreme. I will be testing them out pretty soon. Will be able to say which is better IMO

Thanks

Im just running the PA 2200 packs. They are not bad but I think they are a little under the C rating they state.

I am getting 8 minute flight times and enough juice in the battery for another safe 2 minutes.

Thanks leblanc. I am getting about the same and was concerned. I am new to all this electric stuff and was told by some local "experts" that I should be getting at least 15-20 minutes with my set-up. So much for local experts That little plane is sure a hoot to fly, and it does fly well.

Re: Precision Aerobatics Katana MD

It is my new favorite. The battery I am using right now is lipower lites. They are over rated at 18C continous. I can't wait to try my KMD with the TP 2200 extreme and FP 2170 25C!! It'll do a world of difference and most likely a few more minutes of flying without a problem.

After a 8 min flight, pretty easy on the battery, the resting voltage of my battery was 11.57. Which is alot. You get easily get 15 minutes flight if you just simply glide around really slowly. I wouldn't be afraid to plug 12 minutes on my tx if I am simply flying easy slow circles and 9-10 minutes of 3D with these batteries. The new ones are most likely going to be about 12minutes I think.

I bought the complete package form Atlanta hobbies. I believe I am running the 2170 (or close) flight power (?) pack and can get about 11 minutes before my motor starts to pooping out.

I would say that sounds about right. Obviously depends on throttle usage

Re: Precision Aerobatics Katana MD

I have flown it about 30 times or so. I really enjoy it! Flies very large for a small plane
I need to use a bigger rudder servo arm because I can't get enough throw on the rudder to hold KE unless I am at 3/4 throttle. Lots of fun other wise.
