1st impression with the Tillotson is that the mid range is super smooth. Spinning a 30x14 falcon and the performance is incredible.

Only 3 flights so far but certainly a big improvement or the 176 evo as far as mid range and transition is compared.

Can any one confirm the prop bolts , got to reading the manual from GP site and came across this statement
Important: Normal carbon-steel screw is not strong enough for huge horsepower engines, hence, we attach M6x55mm special alloy screws for GP-178 engine, the M6x55mm screws are special alloy (SNCM439) 1which has a better tensile strength to prevent the possibility of breaking propeller screws during flights. Must use GP M6x55mm on GP-178 only.

Done some research and think grade 12.9 seem to be same tensile strength as the sncm439 grade

Just about to fire up this engine , i remember reading some were but can't find reference to the needles .
are they same as walbro ie: furtherest from carb HI needle

Found needle settings, just fired it up and even rich it the transition is smooth �� like no other engine i have owned
