With the cannister, are you mounting the rudder servo in the tail?

Have you gotten balancing it yet? If so, or when you do, please post a picture of your battery placement.

Good timing. Balanced last night. I have two 2200mAh LiPos mounted in the pic below. Rudder servo is on the tail (push/pull) and the 2 into 1 header with MTW 110 canister. Still just a tad nose heavy using a string on the wing tube to check CG. I plan to fly it like this first, and will move the gas tank aft and/or use bigger LiPo's if I need to.

Thanks!

Definitely want to get that fuel tank as close to the CG as possible so it has less impact as the gas is used.

The manual says there is a pre- drilled hole for the ball link for the tailwheel. I cannot seem to locate it. I thought I would ask you guys before I go ahead and drill a new one?

That is an interesting gas tank location?
Usually we mount as close to the CG as possible (wing tube) so there is not much change in balance during flight?

Yes. Single Futaba BLS172 for the rudder in the tail with 2x MKS 777+ servos on elevators. 2x (I like to avoid recharging) 5200mah LiOn battery packs mounted on either side of the fuel tank. Balances perfectly. (No separate ignition battery) It’s the same as SupaTim has setup as to battery placement. My fuel tank is back against (micro gap) the wing tube.

Yeah, I used a push - pull rudder servo and assumed it would be tail heavy so I proactively mounted the tank forward. I will move it back against the wing tube now that I know it's not tail heavy. That's what I get for assuming

Are the baffles necessary for electric?

I don't know why, but I don't want to put them in unless they are really going to serve a purpose.

Do You think that was due to excess heat?
