Crash plane recovery issue

I'm very upset this year that if you crash your plane on the classic line you are not allowed to go get it.!!!!!
I'm sorry but it's my plane and my money and I have every right to go get my plane..
My close buddy crashed last year and was not allowed to go get it and they have never found it.
And this year one of our guys crashed a hellcat and was told he was not to go look for it the staff will get it (( sat morning)) and it's still not been found...
We was told they was busy and would look again later...

This is B.S. and we As pilots need to make it clear this is not ok!!!!!!

I imagine this likely has something to do with the preservation of the property behind the line. When I was last here in 2014, a lot of people used to take their golf carts, dirtbikes etc back there just for fun. Whether That was allowed or not I'm not sure, but you certainly could and those people didn't really tear anything up.

I'm inclined to agree though. I know people on the main line with aircraft that cost more than most peoples cars. The idea of not being able to look for it and staff simply saying "We're busy" seems unacceptable. If I had a $20k+ jet go in behind the trees you know I'd be back there, haha!

Maybe if all the registered pilots made it clear that if a "What if" something happens situation arises that if they and crew will not be allowed to go retrieve said aircraft that rather than participate they will demand registration fee back and "might " stay as spectator..

It's always easier to beg forgiveness than to ask permission...

This could make pilots more likely to try to make it back "at all costs" in turn creating an unsafe condition of a semi-controlled plane heading back toward the flight line.
