Yeah, Valleyview was also getting $390 for DL-50's when everyone else was getting $370 for them. I paid the $390 and bought from them because DL USA was out of stock and I didn't want to buy China direct. That was my 3rd engine from Tom. Good people for sure ... but I wish they'd stay more in line with the others.

He always has free shipping on engines so the difference is less than $20.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but I think I'll wait until there are a few reports on performance on engines with 50 or 100 hours on them in customers hands. If someone was to note actual original versus worn dimensions and run time it would provide true performance results. I'm not one to believe all the advertising hype that comes from engine manufacturers.

I still haven't seen aa eastern engine that matches DA, BME, Taurus, or 3w quality levels. There have been some acceptable engines for sure, but not anywhere close to the major maker levels.

You are right. The quality is LESS. But at half price.... I think I can live with a few less hours before reibuilding/sending it in. But hey, I have not had to do that yet.

That said I don't think you can burst a DL owners bubble. Quite frankly I think it is the other way 'round.

Wish I had the deep pockets of many here on FG. I may have never tried a DL either. But I don't and I did. I personally always wanted a 3W twin. Would not mind having my '69 camaro back that I sold for $75 on credit either ! Just don't look like it is ever gonna happen.
