I'm putting mine in my new Aeroworks 30cc Ultimate BIPE. Should be a perfect match.

Does anyone know the bolt pattern for drilling props? Is it like a DLE30? Is the center prop stud threaded for Tru Turn type spinners and single bolt mounting?

Well, lets not go that far. You knew you saw red heads anyway.

Same bolt pattern as a DA/DLE-50/55. As for the red jugs, it's a Krylon special...

FYI....Wanted to put mine into a 71 inch 3DHS AJ Slick. But the measurement across the inside of the cowl is 8 inches and would be a very tight fit. Afraid the spark plug caps will vibrate against the inside walls of the cowl. May have to put it into an Aeroworks 35cc Extra 300 which has a cowl width of 8 and 3/4 inches. Would be fine for precision aerobatics.

It'll probably fit in the 3DHS 74" Edge, which is an incredible airframe. I have one and will measure for you later today.

Check out my 40 twin in action from last weekend! Purrs like a kitten and goes BEAST MODE when I hammer on the throttle. Didn't have anything but our cell phone cameras so don't be too harsh...

SupaTim and the 3DHS BigFoot with the Valley View RC 40cc twin! (5 min 11 sec)

My 40 Twin arrived today. Very nice fit and finish. Good compression although as expected a little tight. Needs some break in. The center prop hub on mine is tapped for a 10-32 spinner bolt. Nice touch as most spinners and adapters do well with a 10-32 bolt rather tha a 5 mm bolt which has a larger diameter head.
I run my DLE 30 with 92 octane and Stihl HP Ultra at 30 to 1. Anyone know what octane is recommended for the VVRC 40 cc twin?

I run 89 octane on mine at 40:1 synthetic. Cheap and easy, just the way I like them...

Is 40:1 better than 30:1 with the little 1/4 32 plug? If I ever have to, what is the recommended spark plug gap?

I'm definitely no pro, but in my experience small engines like a little leaner mix. As for the plugs LEAVE THEM ALONE... A few guys have ham fisted them and stripped out the tiny threads.

Thanks! Came across the discussion about the VVRC 40cc twin and now I'm thinking of building a EF 78" Extra 300 or AW 35cc Extra 300 running a VVRC 40cc twin rather than building a 60cc size plane. Cheaper to go with the 30cc size plane. Just always heard the AW planes are heavy and EF planes were lighter. Thanks!
