I guess the myth that the rings in a DLE are all crap won't die...

The ring in one DLE 35 I have is stock standard. The compression is great and the engine runs perfect. The other with the Bowman ring in also runs fine but broke in quicker.
There are plenty of DLEs running just fine without all the mods that are suggested on this forum as necessary. I have no doubt these new DLE's will be just as reliable as the current crop

In the market for a new engine for my 35% - wish I knew if this thing was going to be available within the next 30 days or if it was more like 60-90 days out.

When is it coming? don't see any pre-orders being taken. If it is going to be here for Christmas, I would expect pre-orders to have started.

I could be wrong but just my assumption.
From my limited research regarding the 111, they are up to V3 possibly V4. That suggests issues have arisen from the original. Even DA and probably 3w have had issues with new engines, so I don't doubt there could be issues once the production engines hit the market. Even the mighty OS has had issues with the gas engine for helis.
I would like to have one of the 120s, just don't want to beta test for them for possible design overlooks not seen in the prototypes. I hope Im wrong...

True.. Was just stating I have heard about these engines for a year now and by taking this long I at least hope it is more right the first time.

Post #23 shows engines on scales, is one without prop washer & bolts and the other with? Does one engine have opposite stagger than the other? Is one a DLE & the other a EME? Do I need to drink one more?

2different crank case material. The lighter is supposed to be stronger.

Ok, I understand the two different views, but are the cylinders going to be staggered like BME/EME or like a regular DLE?
