1/8 Scale B1 Bomber plug was CNC'd by Butch Sickels from www.rsmodelsmanufacturing.com.

Bob Moore does the building and takes us through a series of videos on how to scratch build a 1/8 scale B1 Bomber. He will share tips and tricks along with the products he uses on the build. The maiden flight is schedule sometime in April right before it is unveiled at Dyess Airforce Base for the 25th Anniversary of the B1-Bomber.

Its not the first ever. We have a local guy here in WA that has been scratch building his for 7yrs. He is finally ready to taxi test it and then when the weather gets a tad warmer he is going to maiden it. He has not done a website but has a nice picture book I've been looking at.

Now this isn't to take away from Bob and Butch.......they are doing a fab job on theirs as well.

I would love to own an RC jet let alone a B-1

The project is now in the building phase of the wings. Butch from RS Models is now designing and cutting the plug for the internal structure of each wing which will have fully functional leading edge and trailing edge flaps to scale. Once Bob and Butch get done with this beauty, its going to be one heck of a plane. Total length will be around 18ft while the wings will span 19ft. Project is right on schedule for the April/May show down at Dyess AFB in Abilene, Tx.
