Re: FrankenPower! Building a 12V Power Supply
Mike B,ive now built 4 of them, they all worked perfect(except one), he plugged a charger in with batteries connected while the charger was on,and it popped dont work and I cant find a thing wrong. Fuse is good also. So I guess it will be # 5 for me to build. Great job dude

Re: FrankenPower! Building a 12V Power Supply
Well, I got mine to power up after finding that it has a sensing wire in orange. Soldered that to another orange and it came on. The only problem now is the same problem another guy is having. That is when you don't have anything hooked up to it and you turn it on, then plug a charger into it it shuts down?????I built mine with 3 yellows on each post and 3 or 4 blacks on each post. I wonder if this may be the prob?

Re: FrankenPower! Building a 12V Power Supply
Hey there, I have finally given this a go.
I have found with my PS that I dont need the resistors on the 5V line. The PS powers on without anything else connected to it, just join green and black together and hey presto the PS is running, then you just hook whatever charger you want to it and go for it. Has anyone else found that their PS will work without the resistor on 5V? |

Re: FrankenPower! Building a 12V Power Supply
Here it is, no bling here, its only a 250W supply, so only one set of plugs (some idiot cut off most of the yellow wires not most of the red ones )
Never mind, if I want more plugs I can solder new wires onto the 12v board if I want. |
