I joined here back in 2007. I remember the days of the Huckfest and trying to make it to as many as I could. I am still here and flying giant scale.
As my kids have grown up I have not had as much time to fly as I wanted but I still make time to hit events and get out to the field and fly. I really miss the days of the big events like the Huckfest and FX3D where everyone would show up to fly and hang out. We still have our annual 3D event here is Chattanooga which is the Chattanooga 3D Jam and it is still a blast. I really wish we could bring back the Huckfest tour. I would be glad to host one here is Chattanooga. It was one of a kind and always a tremendous amount of fun especially sharing your FG handle and putting a face with the handle. I really miss some of the guys that were in the FFAA like VooDoo, Postal, Lou and Lewis. They were always a hoot to be around and I learned a lot from them. |

Ah the Tuna Boat.....
First IMAC meet I went to was in North Las Vegas with SweetPea as the CD. Met lots of guys I'd only read about including Max. He was signed up to fly the Tuna Boat in Basic as was I but the wind was blowing at a steady 30 mph and I opted not to fly. Max did pretty well for his first IMAC competition but he finished 2nd behind a certain 10 year old who no one knew; Spencer Nordquist..... |

Yep!
Tuna Boat! I seem to remember that bird! Didn’t it meet it’s demise with terra firma?

My first exposure to Giants was through a group called WhiteKnuckleAirlines.
There was a guy named Churro(?) who had me over to his shop while I was still tinkering with Parkzone models... seeing his giants set the hook hard and led me to FG. |

Churro was moving to South America when I lost touch... I was not sure where he landed. Not sure if I ever met Doc, is he still in the Atlanta area?
