I'm the last guy to ask about tuning an engine but it sounds like it's sucking air from somewhere, I would make sure all the bolts are tight on the entire engine especially the carb mounting bolts and anything on the carb.

For remote kill on any gasoline engine with ignition module use the Aro Tech Ultra IBEC. Simply plug the IBEC into any open channel in the receiver and assign a switch to that channel.

Hello FG brothers! Have any of you tried the Morris Mini Motors modifications he has done for this engine? I guess the ignition timing is too far advanced! It should be @ 30 degrees bftdc according to RCEXl.....not 45 or 50 from the factory. Anybody have any issues with a cylinder cracking?

I have the MMM timing ring I set it to 30 degrees btdc It starts and idles a lot better now. the stock ring was set at 46 degrees

Running 87 for now, might change to 91 for the next gallon but it's not running that hot as I still have it a bit rich. I really did not notice any performance issues. The P-47 comes in at 24lbs auw and it flys great. it's no rocket ship but faster than scale
