If you look straight in through the cowl, are the fins in the center or offset inboard, up, down, etc?

Progress so far, got the rudder mounted. Which took some doing I might add, ended up sanding the wire and sharpening the tip. And had to whack it a few times at the very end. Main and Tail gear mounted. Gear Cuffs on. Decided to go with White Rose wheels and axles, still on the fence about a white rose tail wheel. The stock one is nice and will work well. Engine is mounted, throttle servo mounted. Now time to start making extensions for rudder servo and elevators. Going with Push Pull rudder. This plane is built exceptionally well. Very strong and very rigid. Cant wait to get it done. Stabs and rudder control horns glued in also.

I have been painting them with the grey stone paint for ever. Lay down a light coat of grey primer first, then just dust on the Stone stuff. Light weight and looks good. Next gonna work on getting her up on her feet and the rudder mounted.

Just curious, as I noticed your firewall is not drilled yet... Do you somehow mark or scribe the cross marks on the firewall prior to painting? If not, how do you line things up when mounting the motor?

Stand plane on its tail with it strapped to something. set engine on firewall, place cowl over engine, install spinner, reach through and align engine, mark and drill.

Thanks. Seems like it'd be easier to drill before painting.

The paint is very light, just enough primer to cover the wood color and then kinda of spritz the speckle paint on. This way it dries fast and adds very little weight. And when I was done I could still see the marked lines. But theoretically you could drill prior to painting.

I am currently producing the Build video for AJ aircraft for the 105. any idea when those would be done, I would love to possibly talk about them during the video.
