That seams good, either these flow well or the 144 likes a little back pressure?

Can we see some pictures of the pistons and reed setup etc? Can you tell us more about the Pistons coating?

Thanks

I purchased o DJ 144 from Mile High, received it last week just now opened box. I am impressed with the way the engine looks, machine work and casting are very good. Fit and finish excellent. I used my calibrated digital postal scales, here are the results. Bare engine no spark plugs 93.1 ounces = 5.818 lbs.......mufflers 6.3 ounces = 178.6 grams ....DJ brand ignition 6.2 ounces = 175.7 grams ...stand offs and bolts 5.9 ounces = 167.2 grams....total weight 111.5 ounces = 6.968 lbs or 3160.97 grams

I am currently installing mine on a used PAU MXS Viper I recently purchased. I have a Viper with a GP 123, so I can give a accurate comparison.

DJ Brand ignition gets a grade of "F"

I was starting to install the DJ brand ignition and I had to stop and give them a grade of F. The battery lead input for power is a very short to a small connector with a female servo connector on the end. So we have an extra unnecessary connection (read potential fail point) to the power supply side connector. I know somebody will suggest solder wire direct, etc. but I ordered a gasket set with engine, just in case of an air leak and Mike warned me any modification will void all warranty. Also the manual gets a "D-" not for the poor translation but for the lack of information.

The ign. unit looks "Suspiciously" like a GP unit.......does this require a mim. 7v input (or whatever the # is) to keep from kicking/back so hard you'll wish you hadn't tried? .....

I have not read anything about minimum voltage, I have a Tech Aero original IBEC I was going to try, if I have problems I can get a TA High Volt IBEC like the one I run on my GP 123. I also have a rolling chicken stick. The label on the unit states Life or 2S lipo.
