Re: Show us your trailer setup pictures

Well, here is mine, its a work in progress and I have done some things to it since I took these pics, will have to get some newer ones but this is a start.

Its a 2004 Haulin made by Haulin Trailers...I bought it new.
http://www.haulin.com/haulin/

I originally bought this to fix up for going to summer camp with the Boy Scouts with my son, he has since gotten out of the Scouts and started flying IMAC this last summer so it served a multipurpose as for Scouts and flying.

Its 18 feet long and 8 1/2 feet wide, lots of room. It has the drop down rear door and a 3 foot side door, it was made for commercial mowing and 4 wheelers as it has a 20 gallon fuel tank underneath between the frame, it has a hose and nozzle that is in a side compartment with an electric pump for fueling whatever, guess you could use it and have water and a cold shower lol.

I pull it with a 2002 Ford F-250 4X4 Crew Cab Diesel, it gets about 13 to 14mpg on the highway pulling the trailer.

I painted the inside of it white to brighten it up, helped a lot. I also bought folding bunk beds that mount on the wall, when folded up they only stick out off of the wall about 8 inches which is nice if you want to load something large in it like a car or whatever.

I bought some of that heavy black mat stuff that is made for floors and trucks and stuff, only thing i dislike about that mat is that it expands and contracts with heat and cold so it wants to buckle a lil Wish i would have spent the money and put down some kind of tile, which I can do later. I do use it also to haul my mower to the flying field to do the mowing, its a 60 Lazer zero turn.

I have seen some nice trailers, and want to look at Larrys as he has his set up really nice.

Anyways, here are some pics I took when I first started on it, will get some newer pics soon.

Re: Show us your trailer setup pictures

I'm looking at trailers for next spring. Because I have only a small car ('96 sentra), I can only tow 1000lbs (ok, maybe 1500lbs). Anyone got a good idea for a cheap trailer? 5x10 is ok for weight (700lbs - 900lbs), but I can't find a used one, and new ones are about $1800 (Canadian) in my area. I might buy a cheap frame and build on it; if anyone has any plans, I'd love to see them!

Re: Show us your trailer setup pictures

Ok, finally got some pics of what it looks like inside, trailer is 18 foot long and 8 1/2 foot wide, still some things I want to do to it yet, get a generator, a roof top airconditioning unit and an awning for the side of it like what they put on campers. It has a folding bunk bed in the front left of it that when folded up is only about 8 inches out off of the wall, when on the way to the field it holds the IMAC planes and once there its used for beds.

I don't have any pics but its a 30' trailer with E-Tracks on the floor and I just hook into those with bungee cords around the landing gear.

Im thinking about putting some kind of tiled floor in mine, it has that black rubber matt and it wants to expand and contract to much and rolls up.

you are probably going to need at least a 6X12 and maybe bigger. I would highly recomend the Doolittle trailers with a transom axel, it rides better and lower to the ground than a leaf spring. I am sure there are other good manf. of trailers, my only experience is with the doolittle trailers.
