I have a new 89", and I'm just wondering if anyone has seen the same things with their Slick that I'm having trouble with?
The holes in the canopy for mounting it are in the wrong place and the thumbscrews don't fit the the blind
nuts that have been pre-installed. Also there is not any reference to a change in threads!
I used the Alum. motor mount that I purchased from 3d, I centered it on the cross lines as per-instructions, now the cowl is at least a 1/4" of center, also the bolts that hold the cowl on are to short? The opening at the rear of the fuse is shown on the wrong side of the fuse, and even if I had cut the side where the blind nuts are, the cover plate that was sent is the wrong size? The Elevator mounting bolts have been changed to 4-40? The holes for the servo are to far apart ...almost could not mount the servos in the Elevator?(I use 7055's) The fuse has balsa on the botton where the tail wheel mounts...when you tighten down the bracket the balsa will collapse into the ply on the inside? Adding to the problems, the part that goes through the carbon fiber broke! To answer your queston...this is my 5th giant scale I have put together in the last 4 years. 2 aero Works, 2 Extreme Flights and now the 3d 89" slick! I have never had these problems with the other ARF's!!! Can't get anyone on the phone at 3d!!

The lines show the CENTER of the fire wall. If you are not using one of the mounting templates you would need to move your mount 5mm to the right to accommodate for the right thrust built into the motor box.
