I asked why DA kept the DA-50 and they said because people still buy them.

Wonder who's going to be the beta testers for the 120?

too bad they don't make a 150 for people who want a little more power in their 120 sized airframes

I would say if DLE planned "beta testers" it would have been a last year release.. While other asia lines were releasing 120ish/60ish engines in a hurry to grab DLE's market-share I say DLE was standing back and trying to get the product right the first time..
I could be wrong but just my assumption.

Merry X-mas and Happy New Year guys, it seems we are going to buy for us a nice new year gift or maybe a Christmans gift. The crankcase of the DLE 61 and 120 applied Mg-Al alloy casting process, compared with the Al-Si alloy, it has better strength and toughness, stronger resistance to impact force and lighter weight!

Heck, why not just go 130 cc in a 100 sized package? If a 120 is the same size, why not a 130? Go big or go home.

They fixed that with a whole new 111 with new reed cage.....problem solved. Oh, hey, looks like same reed assy. on the 120!!

But the dumb question....if they made a whole new piston, etc, etc why didn't they just do a 65 or 70 to have a 130 or 140 twin to fit in a 120 sized plane. 140 would be some ground shaking junk.....120 now has to prove itself in an existing market.

Either way, I'm sure I'll try one as soon as bowman rings are available.....

Will they incorporate all the fixes (rings , carb , ect...) that guys have been doing on the 111 ? It will be interesting to see if they really want to make this the engine it really could be.
